With their thick tinned copper contacts and rugged plastic housings, these connectors provide maximum conductivity while ensuring reliability and security. A: After installation, you should never use a lighter to shrink the T tap connector unless necessary — this could cause the connector to catch fire.A: You shouldn't use regular pliers to crimp T tap connectors because you might crimp them too hard or too soft. Although there are different types of t-tap wire connectors, most of them can be used without the need for any cutting or stripping.

These connectors are made using premium quality ingredients, making them resistant to corrosion and high temperatures of up to 221 degrees Fahrenheit for a wide variety of wiring projects.

Most quality connectors have been treated with a special coating that helps protect against damage from moisture and dust. They take care of all the connections with ease and kept everything clean and easy to manage, provide a much simpler and quicker installation process. I have never found a wire that I could not splice into with a soldering iron and solder, and I have never experienced a failure of any solder joint I have made. Cable connectors are used to safely and easily join two or more cables or sets of wires during electrical work. I have witnessed hundreds of failures of wires at factory-soldered joints, since then, but have not yet witnessed one failure of an enviro-splice.

I agree with most everything you’ve said but corrosion and oxidation, by definition, are the same thing. AND the connectors actually have little diagrams on them that show the relationship between the connectors on the bottom of the "T" and the wires going through the top of the "T". The wire does indeed become stiff at the solder joint, and with years of flexion, even slightly, it will break. Pressure on one end or the other of the jumper will tend to close the wire gap, increasing the chance that strands are cut.

You don’t need to cut the wires manually, and there is no need to srip the insulation off the wires’ ends. Simply insert both wires into the splice, squeeze down on the metal insert with pliers, and close the cap.
