Shibori Taster Workshop - The Craft House - Bradford

We will confirm the venue when we send you an event reminder shortly before the workshop date.With textiles artist and weaver Anne CrowtherShibori is a Japanese textile dyeing technique encompassing various types of shaped resist patterns created through the manipulation of fabric. It's a form of tie-dye characteristic in its indigo blue colour. In this 2-hour taster workshop you will explore stitching, folding, wrapping and clamping cotton fabrics to create patterns and textures. This will be a fun and messy session using indigo coloured dye (aprons and gloves provided!). You will take away lots of samples which could be used to make a simple book cover or patchwork collage to pop into a frame or hang on your wall.
