PHOTOBOOK FAIR 2017 - FREE ENTRYIt’s one of the most popular events on our calendar and a must for all photobook enthusiasts. Don’t miss this opportunity to browse and buy a great range of photobooks and zines, including newly published work and rare publications.Confirmed sellers include Cafe Royal Books, Village Bookstore and Tide Press. We'll also be showcasing a hand-picked selection of the latest self-published photobooks from across the globe.New for this year we present our pop-up thrift stall, where you'll find an eclectic mix of second hand photobooks and other photo-related delights. We'll also be rolling out our Photobook Tombola for opportunities to win a range of books and photo-goodies.A free programme of talks and book signings will run throughout the day, including Max Houghton co-author of the fantastic new book 'Firecrackers: Female Photographers Now'.TALKS, SIGNINGS AND SOCIALSBRUNCH WITH NEW FOCUS11.30am to 12.15pmJoin New Focus as they discuss their new publication 'No Man’s Land: Young People Uncover Women's Viewpoints on the First World War.' The book accompanies our latest exhibition 'No Man's Land', and features stories of inspiring women active during the First World War. From research trips to the printing press, concept to final product, hear more about their journey at this informal talk with time for questions. Hot drinks and pastries provided.New Focus are a group of young people from Bradford, who work with Impressions Gallery to develop projects that inspire and engage people across the city, their publication is supported by the National Lottery through the Heritage Lottery Fund’s ‘Young Roots’ scheme.Free event, no booking requiredTALK & BOOK SIGNING - MATTHEW FINN1.45pm to 2.30pmHear photographer Matthew Finn share his experience of creating his first book, 'Mother', published by Dewi Lewis. Followed by a book signing.Over a thirty year period, Matthew Finn collaborated with his mother, Jean, to document her everyday life through a series of portraits taken in her home in Leeds.
