My teens have picked it up and read it too, it's a really appealing and informative book for all ages.

The fact that I at my age am learning new things from these pages shows just how valuable this book will become [. A dramatic and visually exciting book, and a fitting commemoration of the 350 th anniversary of the Great Fire of London. Striking Folio Society edition of Bell's revised 1952 account of the Great Fire of London, describing the state of the city prior to the inferno; the cause of the blaze and accounts of its spread throughout London, as well the immediate and long term aftermath. Most titles contain a single story divided into chapters, with varied sentence lengths and more challenging vocabulary.Light sun fading to red of the spine, foxing to closed fore edges and in Very Good condition, no dust wrapper. This has to be one of *the* most hauntingly stunning visual representation of The Great Fire of London that we've ever laid eyes on. The final pages show London rebuilt from the ashes, St Paul’s Cathedral designed by Christopher Wren rising above the city, and nearby The Monument, close to the site where the fire broke out. Part of the Usborne Reading Programme, this book is for children who can read fluently but are still building their confidence. Through this journey, the author also reveals the truth behind many of the myths that have grown up around The Great Fire of London, as well as putting the Fire into the wider context of the day to discuss whether accident or arson, to give possibly the definitive account of this most famous of national disasters.
