We tested this Scotchgard product only on rugs since that’s what it’s primarily designed to protect. We followed the application instructions and sprayed the product evenly to our test area from about 2 feet away. It goes on as a foam and within about 10 minutes, the foam soaked into our test rug’s textured surface. We waited 6 hours and then applied a second coat and let it dry.
