Fused Glass Lantern Workshop - The Craft House - Bradford
  • Please note that we are planning to run this workshop from our brand new workshop and cafe space at The Craft House, 109-111 Main Street, Bingley, BD16 2HT, which is due to open mid-January 2020. As soon as our building works are completed and we have a fully-confirmed opening date for our new branch, we will confirm the definite location. Join fused glass tutor Jenny of Twice Fired Studio for a unique workshop experience. Jenny will guide you through making two fused glass panels which will later be fired and inserted into a lantern framework, creating a beautiful lamp. You will be shown how to cut glass, use frits, stringers, confetti, glass line and inclusions to add pattern and detail to your piece. This is a hands-on workshop where no previous experience is necessary. Explore the wonderful world of glass and experiment with a variety of techniques and materials. You will be carefully and supportively guided through the process. We are running a special offer on this workshop, whereby you can make two fused lanterns in the session for a reduced price of £110 - a saving of £20 on the normal cost of making one lantern. This will enable you to either create two lovely companion lanterns to decorate your own home or else make one lantern for yourself and give the other away for an extra special present! If you would like to make two lanterns for the price listed above please telephone The Craft House on 01274 584400 to let us know so we can ensure we have sufficient materials. Cost The workshop costs £65 per person (if you are making one lantern) or £110 if you wish to make two lanterns. Please confirm when booking your place whether you want to make one or two lanterns. Complimentary tea, coffee and biscuits supplied. (*you will end up with a gorgeous lantern or two lanterns, to be collected by you normally around 10-14 days after the workshop, once your finished panels have been fired and fitted). Skill Level Suitable for beginners and intermediates.
