If players pass they do nothing, and players that bribed pay three money and get to see the response to the question that was asked. It is also possible to play the game cooperatively, either against the Chisel or against a gamebook that simulates the Chisel. That is, even if they run out of time and the Chisel "wins," it's a good idea to let everyone keep playing until the mystery is solved—that way everyone winds up satisfied. The only issue with not correctly solving the case is the Detective must wait until the last day is over to try to guess again during the "Final Guess".If the Detective does not have knowledge of the weapon or suspect they cannot use them in their guess. BE A HEEL: One player will take on the role of The Chisel, whose only goal is to stall and misdirect the detectives at every turn using bluffing, manipulation, and (often) outright lies.
