I wasn't fan of most of the songs, I think the standout is the dueling villains song (reminded me of something out of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend), all the others kind of sound the same-ish to me. Overall, I didn't hate it but didn't love it, it was really just serviceable in my opinion. I might watch it one more time, but I don't expect it to be a movie I watch often or even a third time.

He’s also quite charming, with a voice that sounds beautiful in duet with Nancy’s. Disney’s Hollywood Studios guests can now see some of the “Disenchanted” costumes in person at Walt Disney Presents. The song that Disney wanted to use for Ralph Breaks the Internet was an opening song he had written with Glenn Slater for an early iteration of Enchanted before Kevin Lima came on board. He wouldn't re-use that for the sequel or a Broadway adaptation of Enchanted given the lyrics were not written by Schwartz. As for the other cut songs he had written with Schwartz for the original, I doubt any of them were re-purposed. One was a villain song for Narissa, another a ballad for the So Close sequence, and the other a love song between Edward and Nancy at the end. None of them could have easily been reworked for the sequel. Instead of offering up fairy tale endings and living happily ever after, we are treated to an empowering of women over all because there are darn few princes and princesses in today’s world. What we have to offer is reality and today’s world of real women . . . determined real women, who don’t care about being on a pedestal, but who want recognition of who they are and what they have accomplished. Yes, the costumes were actually not bad in general. I feel bad I criticized them so much at first. The production design was quite good too. There were a couple of moments where it was obvious they tried to save money (like the dragon they barely showed), but for the most part, it looked like a theatrical movie to me. Talks of an Enchanted sequel began in early 2010, but the project languished in development hell for several years. By 2017, it was announced Adams had signed on to reprise her role and filming was set to begin that summer, but it never came to fruition. The film was officially announced in December 2020, with the cast joining in spring 2021 and filming taking place in Ireland between May and July that year.
