I also own the mythic, rider waite, angel cards, fairies cards, runes, and other tarot, yet i have never come across something as enchanting and spritual as this deck. Llewellyn's Gilded Tarot is another treasure--when I take it with me for public readings, people gravitate to this deck like I gravitate to chocolate on a dessert tray. He has succeeded in creating a deck that is very close to the traditional style – a deck for the Tarot beginner. Marchetti has depicted the Fool as a court jester, rather in what we might consider the "Carnivale" mode. In the Gilded Tarot Deck, the fiery imagery found in the Wands suit reflects the transformative nature of fire, igniting the spark of motivation and propelling individuals towards their goals. Graphics are incredible, the book that comes with it is helpful, yardstick if very nice and the coating on the cards is quality.

I’d recommend this deck for anyone familiar with the Rider-Waite style imagery and looking for a bright, optimistic Tarot deck. At the bottom we have a gold plaque, with the card Title in black (for the Major Arcana), the number and suit in black (for the Minor Arcana), and the title and suit in black (for the court cards). The Gilded Tarot 's archetypes are recognizable and accessible to anyone familiar with Rider-Waite style decks yet imaginative enought to offer fanciful new insights into standard Tarot arcana.
