About this deal

Look, you don't have to like this tech, it's not for everybody or even for all the time, but what you're describing is not at all the same thing as ambient video-based lighting. There is no loss of sound quality between optical and HDMI-ARC when playing a codec that both can support (up to Dolby Digital). Iirc, a couple tv manufacturers(actually Philips I think) used to make TV’s with this exact type of thing. The only things I wish were a little better: I would actually like it to be even brighter (I have it set to max brightness already), and the colors don't always match very well with what is on the screen. There are different lengths available for different sizes of TV< and the 4HDMI ports mean that you’ll be able to plug all of your devices in at once without having to swap cables around all the time.

In fact out of 3 ppl that have some form of ambilight setup in my vicinity 2 have set it to being a fixed ambient light permanently. Mind you, this new sync-box from Lytmi isn't officially out yet so if anyone's interested, you might as well wait a couple. The only negative I found was how it defaulted to dark blue when the box doesn't know what color to display. The colours are matched well and the resolution (adjustable) translates the information from a movie into awesome spillover. Installation is very straightforward and the app gets a lot of negativity for being too simple but it works well in my opinion.Philips does have has patents related to Ambilight but I don't think they really can "own" taking video signal and using it to project light beyond the video screen? I think the selling point of these ambilight setups is that it extends your TV immersion size at a relatively low cost. I could "forgive" the fact that it doesn't work on native apps since everything has to pass through the sync-box but no support for VRR is just nope. I've tried on two separate occasions but I guess for me, I never use the TV in a room dark enough for it to be noteworthy?

You cant use anything longer than 2 meter cables "6 footers" and theres only a 30% chance they will work. Action films were particularly problematic where action scenes caused the entire room to flash like a nightclub. I feel like an official HDMI version* of ambient lighting could and should have been introduced by now.The Lytmi Fantasy 3 TV Blacklight Kit supports high-performance gaming at 8K and 60Hz or 4K and 120Hz. It was distracting for the first 10 mins because I was checking if it was accurate and it definitely is. The box can catch up with the content streamed at 8K60 and 4K120 which is probably more in the realm of games than movies at the moment. Sync the Accurate and Smart way】 The lighting algorithm picks out the best colors and combines them to accurately sync with your screen, even when watching fast-paced movies.

As Lytmi Fantasy 3 kit comes with ARC support, you don’t have to expose the box either to access control buttons. As the popularity of smart TVs and digital services goes up, I found myself using HDMI ports less and less. But whatever the case, I'm currently bypassing the box until I see that this issue can be resolved by Lytmi through updates. In the end, the Govee solution seems like the best bet since it works both with the TV's native apps AND it doesn't have any problems with VRR/120Hz etc - camera and lack of fast color synchronization be damned. I have a separate HMDI that connects the ARC port from the TV to the sound-bar, via HDMI port 3, this allows all sounds to play thru the sound-bar.In short, I paid 237€ for lights that seem not to have been tested properly before being put on sale and the brand offers me a small refund and a lukewarm answer about the possible solution to the problem. Combine the Lytmi Fantasy 3 TV Backlight Kit with both the Lytmi LED Light Strip and Lytmi LED Light Bars to unlock the complete potential of interactive illumination. I think it's security/encryption-related; companies don't want you to be able to use video signal for anything other than displaying content (assumedly paid for) on your television or monitor. The included RGB strip is cut to size, and corners are connected with an extension wire – it terminates with a USB-C (nice) and plugs in directly to the Lytmi Fantasy 3 box. I found films with a slower pace more enjoyable as changes in the ambient light were more subdued and less distracting.

While I can connect to Google Cast (or similar) and still enjoy the ambient theatre – it’s probably not for me. Smart TV apps and their related services are not supported as their signal doesn't pass through the Sync box to process via an HDMI cable. Full Corners Mapping Capacity】 All corners of your TV are color matched so that you can enjoy a perfectly synchronized visual experience.

A friend has some version of the phillips hue equivalent and I'm always blown away at how much more immersive it makes whatever is on feel.
