About this deal

The launch of the DALI SUB E-9 F marks a new stage of what is possible at this level of subwoofers!

Unless it is a very potent performer, I personally would not get a 8" Sub as it will show its limits fairly early on - my Velodyne being an example of an exception to this. I would look at 10" subs ideally & maybe even a 12" one. The integrated limiter works in two areas: It compares the input signal amplitude to the potential output signal level, and it compares the available supply voltage from the power supply to the expected output signal. If any of these comparisons show that there will be a problem then the limiter will cut the signal in a soft manner and without affecting peak power. Når SUB E-9F er rigtigt placeret og indstillet, får du hele den fysiske oplevelse fra basguitarer, trommer og filmeksplosioner, uden at du samtidig skal døje med den overdrevne og svampede bas, som kendetegner mange billige subwoofere. Wow, what a difference! In the much smaller space, each sub reproduced deeper bass response that I could feel in my sternum; it shook the house."

List of Best Dali Subwoofer Series

XXLS400 wouldn`t be that big upgrade performance wise. Going from 12" sealed to another, though BK is still the better one. But as you have bigger budget i would look;

The demo is this week and the retailer will pair them with the Cyrus One HD - their only mid sized option within my budget. Other options I will try to test are the Bluesound Powernode and the Rega Brio. So I am thinking af geeting some speakers for my open plan living room/kitchen area where the TV also lives. Adhering to the low-loss sound design principle, the surround of the woofer is built to allow long and linear excursion. The oversized suspension is designed to allow both weak and strong transients to turn into undistorted acoustic signals. HT by-pass is now finding it's way into lower tier amps making such connections a lot easier. It was once the domain if higher tier stereo amps.I have a 5m x 4m room. It's styled modern so room acoustics are poor. Porcelain tiles floor, L-shaped leather lounge against the wall, and a rug in the middle. Aluminium blinds on windows and a concrete ceiling 2.8m high. The wall where the TV sits is 3m long and is more of a dividing wall with 1.2m openings on either side to the rest of the open plan entrance/ dining, and kitchen area. One more question about the R3s, do I need to toe them in, or can they be forward firing (like Dali’s) with room correction, etc.? Here's a slightly curve ball suggestion: get an ifi Zen One Signature DAC and put it together with the amp of your choice. The Zen One is small, discreet, has a wide range inputs and sounds superb (well, I think so at least). Gasp3621 thanks for the links, same warranty I actually don’t mind factory refurbished at all. The ex-demo, assuming that it’s in mint/great condition is a good find, the missus prefers white anyways I tried with quite a few subs like my REL's, BK Electric & a couple of others at the time but there was too much of a separation - it was quite evident. You really need to get a subwoofer which has a Frequency Response figure of +/- 3Db that goes up to at least 150Hz.

It will pay dividends to really experiment with the crossover settings to get the best blend so to speak but I found that in most cases 150hz usually provides the best results - 140Hz at the very lowest - any lower & the sub can be localised. Play around with the crossover till you get the best sound. SUB E-9F fås med finish i hvid højglans, sort ask eller lys valnød. Stoffront kan købes som ekstraudstyr. Would you guys still recommend Maratantz over Denon if I go with a stereo amp? And because of the amp can I go for a lower range receiver, for example on Denons, pair a 1600H/2600h with the stereo amp rather than 3600H? (assuming both have same features sets on room correction, etc.) I've not tested much on it other than watching Iron Man at low volume and it sounded really good. Will try more movies out when I can. One thing I had to do is to increase the volume of the centre speaker as I was struggling to hear the dialogue.Appearing to hover above the floor, the cabinet is effectively decoupled from the floor by means of four polymer-based oversized spikes. The distance of 30 mm eliminates any potential turbulence from the space between the cabinet and the floor itself. I am starting from scratch, so would need a receiver as well and possibly a sub. Rght now these are on my list:
