In essence, cher darlings, Ellen Tracy isn’t just a scent; it’s a companion through thick and thin, through cashmere and cotton, from sunup to sundown. Not hoity-toity like Armani but not as pedestrian as some other brands—we won’t name names; this isn’t a roast. This is a nice, wearable and even giftable perfume, which is not something I'd often recommend, since people differ so much in their tastes in perfume. Layering these three added Marshmallow-y, amber-y, and a sandalwood-y depth--with the perfect touch of Ellen Tracy's fruity notes. But when it arrived this morning i was very disappointed to the point i think i must have gotten a bad bottle.It's sort of an addictive smell- my nose interpreted as lemony-soapy at first, but after wearing it a few more times and getting to know it better, I think it's just an overall impression that I'm getting from cinnamon, peach, and galbanum or the green notes. This reminds me of everything that I wanted Lancôme's Trésor to be- where Trésor opens with that rotten and LOUD peach- the remnants of Trésor, the end of the drydown- with Ellen Tracy you spray twice and have that amazing scent from the get go. I'm not sure I personally like this fragrance, but my mother complimented me on this, and she NEVER compliments perfume. For freesia haters - skip most of their offerings and head for the creamy, delicious Ellen Tracy Bronze. Always read labels, warnings, directions and other information provided with the product before using it.

I almost like this perfume( I like the woody, fruity aspect) but as Sparkly Unicorn also stated, there's some undertone that I dont like; its sandalwood perhaps.Whether you’re strolling through a spring garden or wrapped up in a cozy sweater in fall, these perfumes dress you up in an aromatic outfit ideal for every season and occasion.

I love wearing it when I am in the office since it doesn't scream "I AM WEARING PERFUME, HEAR ME ROAR! I got a sample of the EDT yesterday and applied it to my wrists straight away and could smell it for the rest of the day (5 hours approx). Once a major player in women’s apparel, it still has a loyal following for its sophisticated yet practical style. Instead I get this slightly musky warm fragrance, suprisingly lacking in spiciness (the cinnamon is very very light on me).

i made a perfume lotion out of it by mixing it with eucerin-and i use that as a base before i spray the perfume on-it is wonderful! Out of the four I have from Ellen Tracy, this is the only one to give me pause and I think I can safely pin that on the licorice.
