Slowly aged in oak casks for five years, Chartreuse Green is an acquired taste yet has the versatility to be enjoyed alone, with ice, in a range of drinks, in desserts and with chocolate. Retired now as a pubescent schoolboy in the late 1950s I went on a school trip to Paris where we stayed in a school with dormitories. Chartreuse Green Liqueur is produced using all natural ingredients in a recipe unchanged since the 17 th century and has a strong and distinctive flavour created from a secret blend of 130 different herbs found in the French Alps which give Chartreuse Green its unique taste.
