About this deal

The i-cord knitter is very easy to start, little harder to take off to finish off but it gets easy to do once you understand how to put on & put it off. I hope you are inspired to try this Embellish Knit tool for your upcoming I-Cord knitting projects!

Its best to use any fiber & yarn type long as it isn't fuzzy or easily to split or has weird bumps included. Once you’re done making your I-Cord, just cut your yarn and crank it around until the I-Cord pulls through. Take your tapestry needle and weave that yarn end through the four little loops to bind off. It is very nice to have something that is pretty well made for i-cord making that goes kind of fast. But who know how long it will actually last with frequent uses. If it breaks before 2023 is up then I'll update info here. You can imagine if you need to make a lot of I-Cords there may be somebody in your circle of friends or family that would totally dig knitting with power tools. And in just about five minutes this is how much we were able to knit up. Our I-Cords are so pretty, they totally look so professional and uniform. They are smaller both because we’re using finer yarn and with just the four little hooks and it is a tighter weave than we usually knit just freehand with our knitting needles.works well, came out clean, long as you don't use weight attached to it, if you use weight attached it I'll recommend to use any yarns weight #3 and under, if you want to risk it, you can use weight 4 WITHOUT weight attached to other end, I have no problem with weight 4 so far. Make sure that you’re holding onto the Embellish Knit pretty tightly because this power tool does have a bit of power to it. And, oh my gosh, this is totally working! I love it! Now that your yarn has been cast on, turn the crank very slowly and sort of let go of the yarn on the left side with your hand, you don’t have to hold it as tightly anymore. By the way, you can also crochet an I-cord. I have a tutorial for that here: Crocheting an I-cord in 6 different ways. Using the Tulip I-Cord Knitting Machine

For the second hook, we are actually going to take the yarn up and around so that it does NOT catch in that hook. I’m just going to use my tapestry needle to help me because it’s really small. Secondly, you need to attach the weight to the yarn tail end coming out of the middle of the machine. It is very important to keep this weight suspended in the air. The weight will pull the yarn and the i-cord through the machine preventing any tangles. You can make many items with your finished i-cord. You can add finishing touches to larger projects and use them as bag handles or string for drawstring bags. Another idea is to use it for amigurumi projects like tails on animals, limbs on rag dolls or scarves, and belts for doll clothing. I personally have had the best success with lighter weight yarns #1 and #2. My tries with yarn weight #3, a light weight yarn, were a total fail! I have friends that have had success, but maybe I just have bad karma with this yarn weight. If your yarn catches and starts to wrap on the outside of the inner tube, simply stop, cut the yarn out, and try again!
