About this deal

Although much of Greg’s character is to a degree obnoxious, he does have a number of redeeming features, and his character flaws have become less well-defined as the series has progressed. He is now starting to show signs of maturing into somewhat of a likeable young man as he starts to take responsibility for many of his misdeeds and character flaws. Rowley Jefferson In the online book, Rowley is said to own a PlayStation with 42 games. However, in the movie, Rowley is shown to have a Wii, meaning that he probably upgraded his console.

Rowley then brings up an anecdote in which he and Greg draw their own superheroes. In the penultimate diary entry, Rowley has a sleepover at Greg's house, where they sneak out to bounce on a trampoline. Greg's parents get mad, his mother divides his and Rowley's room in half. Greg draws an "invisible forcefield" that "zap"s Rowley if he tries to pass through it. Greg prevents Rowley from using the bathroom, and he pees out the window in the morning. The sleepover ends with Greg flushing one of Rowley's action figures down the toilet. In the book series, he has 7 strands of hair that is flat on his head and is wider than Greg's. He has two large teeth and his mouth never appears to be closed, except for a few occasions. In Rowley's entry about "the time when Greg created a special award just for me," Greg gives Rowley a "good boy award" for cleaning Greg's garage. Greg gives Rowley more awards for doing his chores, and after Rowley says that they aren't special anymore because he has so many, Greg makes a "point system" instead, with Rowley's reward for getting 50 points being a basket of dirty laundry. In an interview on the official Wimpy Kid YouTube channel, Kinney described that he noticed "the audience [...] always rooting for Rowley" in the Diary of a Wimpy Kid movies. [10] This inspired him to write a novel from Rowley's point of view. [11] On the subject of the book's illustrations, Kinney said that he liked how his art style is still recognizable even though Rowley "draws like a five year-old." [11] He stated that he enjoyed writing the book and that it is his favorite book in the series, [12] because he likes how Rowley is unable to keep the book's focus on Greg. [11] When asked if the series would change to focus entirely on Rowley, Kinney confirmed that he will continue to write main-series books, but that he would also "really like to write more Rowley books," because "it's a lot of fun, and I think it's really fresh, and [Rowley] can write in lots of different styles about lots of different genres. So I'd really like to get to there, where Rowley is authoring lots of books." [11] The following year, a follow-up to Rowley Jefferson's Journal, titled Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Adventure, was published. Rowley Jefferson's Awesome Friendly Spooky Stories, another sequel, was released in March 2021.

Simon, Scott. "The Wimpy Kid's Best Friend Gets A Diary Of His Own ... And He's 'Awesome' ". NPR . Retrieved 15 April 2019. This is the first book to have Greg as a minor character, and will probably be the last book to do that. He appears in all of the books and all of the movies, and the online version as well, to date, but he only made a small appearance in Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Long Haul, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Getaway, Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Deep End' Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Big Shot and Diary of a Wimpy Kid: Diper Överlöde. Rowley is best known for being a good best friend to Greg. Rowley is quite immature and seems a bit naive, but his charming, cheerful and innocent nature made him more popular with other students (particularly the girls) than Greg had. His friendship with Greg is arguably more legitimate in the films than in the books: in the novels, Greg primarily uses Rowley for personal gain, though they are legitimate friends nonetheless. In Dog Days, he smashes " The Muddy Hand", which is really Gregory's hand. It is never revealed what country Rowley went to on his trip to South America in the book series, but the online book states that he went to Brazil. It is said in the first film that Rowley went to Guatemala, although Guatemala is in Central America.

Get ready for a whole new look into Jeff Kinney’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid! Introducing the newest Wimpy Kid author—Rowley Jefferson! In Diary of a Wimpy Kid: The Ugly Truth, Greg once planned on calling Rowley "Rupert" or "Roger" in his biography, in Greg Heffley: A Life. Rupert is again shown as an imaginary character in Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid: Rowley Jefferson's Journal. Given estimates made based off of illustrations of him, Rowley Jefferson is most likely between 4' 11" (149.86 cm) and 5' 1" (154.94 cm) tall. However, this is only conjecture, as his height has never been stated definitively within the series. Diary of an Awesome Friendly Kid: Rowley Jefferson's Journal on Waterstones" . You’ll meet zombies, vampires, ghosts and much more in these comically terrifying tales. Lilli was a girl. From when she was a baby, she liked putting things in her mouth and occasionally, put her parents' things in her mouth as well. Her doctor said she was teething to her parents. Lilli's teeth started to come in and they were really sharp. As Lilli got older, she had playdates but the other kids always ended up crying because of you know what. She was bought books about not biting but she never stopped. Plus books were one of the favourite things Lilli liked to chew on. Lilli was now old enough for kindergarten but her parents didn't warn the teacher that Lilli liked to bite people and she bit the teacher so she got sent home early. Lilli's parents saw the doctor and she said Lilli was a vampire. Lilli's mother then remembered how Lilli had become a vampire and she started considering Transylvania: School for Biters. A few weeks later, the doctor said that Lilli actually wasn't a vampire and they kept it a secret between themselves.
