Beyond the picture quality, the Blink Indoor also has a motion tracking feature that can alert you when movement is detected. If you’re looking for a camera with an easy set up, we don’t think you can do much better than the Blink Indoor. The Sync Module can connect up to 10 cameras at once rather than each of them connecting to your router individually, which could drag your network speed. The Blink Indoor can easily mount on a wall, or, if you want, it can tuck away on a high bookshelf or on a mantle.
We recently had the chance to put this camera through its paces for the better part of a week, testing out everything it has to offer. Each panel contains a still image of the camera’s field of view, a button for taking a snapshot, and a button for launching a live stream that you can view in full-screen mode by turning your phone sideways. Each time we ran through scenarios, we saw glares that produced reflections and at times distorted or obstructed some of the objects in the frame. With multi-system support, you can use Blink to help watch over your home, vacation home, or business all at the same time.If you’ve got a compatible Echo Show 10 or Fire TV device then you’ll be set for some swanky voice-activated Blink camera shenanigans which will let you see your camera feed on a larger screen whenever you ask for it. Chances are, with an indoor camera like this, you’ll want motion tracking across the entire available area, to ensure any intruders are brought to your attention. Though we’re still fans of Blink for multiple other reasons, this is one aspect of the brand that we wish could be improved. If you’re on the hunt for a camera that can be configured into Google Assistant and IFTTT devices, Blink might not be your best bet. We were impressed with the great picture quality and reliable motion detection, but there are certainly a few drawbacks to take into consideration.The display of third-party trademarks and trade names on this site does not necessarily indicate any affiliation or the endorsement of PCMag. The Home button takes you back to the home screen from wherever you are in the app, and the Play button takes you to a screen with a list of motion events and video thumbnails for each event. We saw how Blink’s technology progressed, but if there’s one thing we really want Blink to improve, it’s their cameras’ night vision.
