We recommend not to leave the hose reel outside over winter. Please store in a dry place, where it is safe from potential frost. If you wish to replace it with a longer hose, we recommend extending the hose that is included. Please see the below question for more details on extending the hose. Untangle and remove the hose from the reel.Make sure that you rewind it using the winding handle in the same direction of the indicator arrow on the side of the unit. Why is it difficult to wind the hose? This is a manual hand wound reel, so as you wind in the hose you have to manually layer it left to right using the layering handle on the front, whilst looking through the window on top. It is also possible that you may be winding in the wrong direction, rather than the indicated arrow on the side of the case. Is it possible to wind up the hose with the inlet hose attached? Yes it does. Although you will need to cut your length of feeder hose from the main hose, as stated in the instructions.The 2-in-1 Compact Reel can be used with Sprinklers, Guns & Hose Nozzles and Pressure Washers. You can also use this reel with a Water Butt, but onlyif you are using a Water Butt Pump, because the Water Butt itself does not have enough pressure. We advise against opening this reel, as it could cause irreversible damage. However, it is possible to service the unit, such as replacing the inlet, without opening the case. What can be used with this Reel? Unfortunately not, this reel is designed to fit a 25m hose. A longer hose will require a larger reel.
