About this deal

When the Alarm detects potentially dangerous levels of CO, the red LED flashes and if the CO persists the alarm will sound. The rate of flashing of the red LED indicates the level of CO. The higher the level of CO detected, the sooner the alarm will sound. Insert a flat headed screwdriver into the removal slot of the alarm. This is marked with an arrow. Make sure you keep the screwdriver horizontal (i.e. parallel to the ceiling). A remote relay option is available which has multiple uses, including switching a gas solenoid shut off valve. There is likely to be Carbon Monoxide present. Turn off any gas appliances, open windows and doors and leave the property. Most of our alarms have a 10-year life, after which they should be replaced to ensure you carry on getting the best protection.

You will know when you need to change the battery, as you will hear a single regular beep (low battery warning) coming from the alarm, however it is recommended that you change the battery every year. The memory feature allows an Alarm that has previously activated to be easily identified (as the red LED will continue to flash for 24hrs after the event or afterwards when you press the Test button). Above this is the ‘Replace By’ date, but note that the date on the label shows the maximum life of the alarm and alarms should always be replaced before their life is up. The model number of each alarm and accessory is noted on the side of the product, along with the age and replace by date. You can type this number into the search bar above to find out all the details of your alarm.Manual Test/Hush button: tests the alarm (when pressed and held) and silences false alarms (when pressed and released). This will silence the unit for 4 minutes before resetting. It will only silence once until the gas clears. If you are using an Alarm Controller Ei450 this will continue for as long as you hold down the ‘Test’ button. If it is a regular single beep (approximately once every minute), then the battery may be running low, and you may need to change the battery in the alarm. This is relevant for the 140RC Series alarms. If the alarms are sounding, there may be a fire present. You should evacuate the property and be absolutely sure there is no fire before returning. If in doubt, always assume there is a real fire present and take the necessary action. If you have more than one alarm in the property and they are interconnected, this will also trigger all the other alarms in the property.

If the alarm contains AudioLINK – Once the alarm has stopped activating and it is safe to enter the property extract a report to identify the details of the incident. Please note: This product is now obsolete, the recommended replacement is the Aico Ei3018 230v 3000 Series Carbon Monoxide Alarm. The 3000, Ei2110e and 160e Series alarms all use modules to connect alarms with each other wirelessly using radio frequency signals. The Ei261ENRC may operate as a standalone Alarm or may be interconnected via hardwire to communicate with compatible Ei Electronics Alarms and accessories. Up to 12 devices can be interconnected.Performing a regular test is a vital part of ensuring continued Fire and Carbon Monoxide detection. Alarms should be tested monthly to ensure everything is working correctly. Now test the alarm by pressing and holding the test button on the front of the unit. The unit should make an alarm sound and also activate any other alarms in the property.
