Do you at times experience intense frustration, anger and anguish at witnessing the plight of animals & the planet?Do you long to be heard and understood as well as be able to express yourself in an effective way?Do you wish your efforts in activism to create positive change which can be both peaceful and effective?In this half day workshop we will be exploring Nonviolent Communication (NVC) Principles and practices and how they can support you to be an effective animal rights advocate.Topics will include: Expressing ourselves fully when anger or grief arises in the context of living in a non vegan world;* Getting heard and understood;* Listening skills and getting to the heart of the matter;* Ways to create real change and what gets in the way;* Supporting ourselves in the task of inviting cultural shift and transformation.The presenters:Annie Scott & Aisling Cusack.Facilitated by Dina Aherne (Co-convenor for The Save Movement UK)Cost:£5.00 to secure a place which will be refunded upon attendance of workshop. There are 20 tickets available.Non-attendance will mean that the ticket cost will be donated to Brinsley Animal Rescue.
