About this deal

Angela DuPre is one of the few adults to aid Jonah and Katherine on their mission to restore the missing children, because she was one of the few people to have seen the missing children before the event was covered up and hidden from public knowledge. I had previously read 'The Lie' by the same author and thoroughly enjoyed it so I was always going to read more from this talented author. CL Taylor is a relatively new author who writes hugely entertaining psychological thrillers and I have already obtained another one of her books to continue making my way through her work. The author has captured so well the family's emotions. The strain of Billy's disappearance and the not knowing is breaking them apart. The entire family have feelings of guilt. His older brother Jake fought with him the day he disappeared and Mark, the father, also had problems with his youngest son before his disappearance. His marriage and family are falling apart and they can't seem to communicate with each other. Jake's girlfriend Kira lives with them, she has her own personal issues to deal with and seems to be struggling to cope with this family who all have secrets they are hiding from each other.

We have broken this book into 7 parts. Most of these parts each have accompanying exercises for you to complete online. These seven sections are:I have read a number of novels these past two years blogging which centre around missing children, but The Missing doesn't focus on another missing infant but instead on fifteen-year-old Billy Wilkinson. Still a child, but old enough that the story can explore themes and subjects that don't feel repetitive. Billy Wilkinson went missing in the middle of the night, and his whole family carry their own guilt about what could possibly have led to his disappearance, including his mother Claire who blames herself. But, of two things she is sure and they are that Billy is still alive, and that her friends and family had nothing to do with his disappearance. Are either of those assumptions - her 'mother's instinct' - correct? Well, Cally Taylor takes the reader on a quite a journey to find out. Katherine is Jonah’s non-biological sister. She’s one year younger than him and decides to help him in his adventures to find the other missing children and to find out who Jonah really is.

This audiobook is turning into a brilliant story. I will never sleep tonight because I won't be able to turn my tablet off. 😊Angela DuPre - An ally of Jonah and Katherine. Angela was one of the few people to have seen the missing children before the event was covered up. In the prologue of Found, she discovered the missing children of history when she saw the babies inside of a plane at the airport where she worked. In Revealed she plays a prominent role of helping Jonah save time. She eventually, along with Hadley, adopts Maria Romanova, Leonid Sednev, and the baby versions of Gary and Hodge. C.L. Taylor's The Accident was one of the very first books I read after starting the blog and it's almost a year since I reviewed her second novel, The Lie, after receiving a copy of the book in an incredibly inventive way (take a look here if you missed it first time round). I was very excited about reading The Missing because of how much I have enjoyed Cally's previous two books and I began the book with an expectation that it would carry on the standard of those two novels. Haddix originally intended the series to consist of only seven books. However, she stated that she had trouble closing out the series in seven books; leading to her decision to write Redeemed. [3] Books [ edit ] Found [ edit ] Sabotaged was released on August 24, 2010. [14] [15] Torn [ edit ] Cover for Torn, the fourth book. Margaret Peterson Haddix is an America author who has written more than 30 novels in the Young Adult (YA) genre. Before getting her break as an author, Haddix worked on her degrees in Journalism, Creative Writing and History, as well as working as a newspaper copy editor and a newspaper reporter.
