About this deal

Como sucesores de la gama HDJ-2000, los auriculares HDJ-X heredan algunas conocidas características profesionales, como rótulas flexibles que permiten una pre-escucha cómoda, en cualquier posición. If treated well, these headphones should last for years of solid use, though we always recommend using some form of case when traveling. Should you buy it? Excellent Sound Quality –Despite the low price point, the CUE1BT offers impressive sound. Very loud and defined with a punchy low-end response.

When selecting Pioneer headphones there are a couple of things worth considering. Wireless Vs Wired Headphones The Pioneer HDJ X5 headphones are the entry-level option in the lineup of Pioneer HDJ headphones. The value proposition on these is excellent. While having smaller drivers they still deliver excellent sound and retain the same frequency range as the more expensive X10 and X7 headphones. Corners have been cut, but barring any doubts about durability (the Achilles heel of any DJ headphone), not in crucial places, as we shall see. First headphones in the world to reproduce frequencies from 5 Hz to 40 kHz in the DJ headphones market (according to research conducted by Pioneer DJ Corporation Ltd, 21st August 2017). The most budget friendly option in the HDJ-X line, the HDJ-X5 may not have the clarity or handle the extreme frequency range its bigger brothers offer, it is still a good option for cash-strapped DJs and beginners who want something that looks pro without spending a lot. We’re proud to have won two awards at the prestigious iF DESIGN AWARD 2018. Now in its 65th year, the iF DESIGN AWARD is one of the most important prizes in the industry, recognising excellence in design from around the world. Pioneer has several excellent choices available for DJs. Sound quality tends to be very high and the latest generation offers durable and intuitive options. Very pleased. Went from some big heavy clunky razer tiamat 7.1s to these. They are light, comfortable, and deliver great sound.

That said, we expect Pioneer has done a good amount of testing to make sure these remain robust long-term, and we didn’t experience anything warning signs other than a bit of earpad break-in during our weeks with the headphones. Rich Shibley/Digital Trends Good Accessories –Soft carry pouch, two cable options along with an adapter. Everything you’ll need to connect to devices while protecting your headphones between gigs. Nice Sound Profile –These headphones offer a punchy bass response along with well-balanced mids and highs. Clean and precise without distortion when pushed.

Battery life comes in at a fair 20 hours, which may seem light but actually measures pretty high for a wireless DJ headphone (read: more bass). Fold your headphones to save space in your bag and transport them easily. Combine with the HDJ-HC01 carry case (available separately) to keep them safe on the road and store SD cards and USB drives in one place. These headphones feature an on-ear design with rotating cups for easy one-ear monitoring. The fit is comfortable but only if you like on-ear cans. Isolation is decent but certainly not to the level of SJ headphones that fully encase your ears. These are a good headphone for the money. They’re not as big as the more pro headphones that they ape – the ear cups are moulded a bit smaller, the headband is a little less padded – but for some, that will be seen as an advantage.

They are super lightweight and comfortable, they don't make you feel like you're in a pressure chamber. Carroll is a headphone junkie residing in Brooklyn. He's a huge fan of Grado, UK hip hop, and the English Language in general. When not testing audio equipment or writing, you'll find him taking photographs or fiddling with circuit boards. In all cases, we were impressed by how rhythmic the response was. Each beat seemed to punch through the headphones’ drivers on the low end, making it easy to beat match with one ear of the headphones on, and making the most energetic music in our library sound particularly exciting. Long Battery Life –At 30 hours run time you’ll have more than enough life before you’ll need a charge. Another excellent feature for the traveling DJ.

If you’re a user of Pioneer DJ gear at the lower end and don’t want to spend as much as you spent on your controller just to have some Pioneer DJ-branded headphones, they’re a no brainer, but frankly, they’ll work out fine for anyone looking for cheaper DJ headphones. The next set of headphones in the Pioneer range is the HDJ X7. At first glance, it doesn’t appear like there is much difference between these and the X10. The same solid build quality is here along with an excellent selection of accessories. But, unlike the X10 you’ll receive a soft carry pouch as opposed to a semi-hard case. Overall, the tonal characteristics of this Pioneer model are much more subdued than you might expect from a headphone that’s designed for DJs’ ears. That could be because they are also designed to be used for everyday listening, or it could be because the folks at Pioneer don’t have the same undying affinity for bass that makers of other DJ headphones do. In any case, we liked the well-rounded sound. Very Durable –The smaller and cheaper HDJ X5 retains the excellent build quality of its bigger brothers. Durable and built to last. The increased frequency response is a step up from other models. The sound is amazing but not without some flaws. While the lows are rich and present they are not as forward as other headphones. For some, this is a benefit but for DJing, I prefer a more pronounced low end for beatmatching. Despite this, they were a joy to DJ with. They also offer exceptional build quality with excellent noise isolation. A perfect combination for DJs. I use them everyday (music production) and they're light-weight and this is a brand who cares about sound so much. Sennheiser has found a good balance between low and high range frequencies. I cranked my volume pretty high and I did not hear any clipping or distortion. With so many choices on the table, the problem that many face is finding one that best suits their requirements. There are many factors to consider and numerous things to keep in mind. To make it simpler, follow to given tips and it will land you the ideal pair of headphones. Nice sound and not too heavy to wear. The coiled cable is much heavier than strait so you can make them more lighter. Wireless connections often involve a certain degree of lag. This time delay is not what you want when trying to beatmatch. Sound quality is also affected when using wireless headphones.
