About this deal

Despite me not being a big fan of the build quality of the earphones, I find them really comfortable to wear even for long hours. Due to how lightweight it is, the earphones feel like they are never in your ears and that is really good. On top of that, the lightweight cable never feels like it is tugging on the earphones, adding on to the comfort of the earphones. Bass has good punch and decay with sub bass taking center stage and to me tuned just right without being overtly boomy. I'm not a bass head but rather a treble head and loves clarity and details. The overall bass is surprisingly tastefully tuned and does not bleed into the midrange or vocal and also complement with the slightly energetic treble . The only suggestion that I would recommend is that to swap the eartips to foam type and it sound better whereby the bass sounds fuller and tame the shrillness in the high. It seems they don’t know what is preference ranking list and a ranking list based on sonic performance alone.

The cable is replacable and works fine though a bit tangle-prone. KBEAR has many beautiful replacement cables available. The fit is nice overall, the kb-ear team claims that their design isolates up to -26db which is quite nice. They fit well with decent isolation and with perfect ear tips you can get a nice fit in your ears. I found a perfect fit with the L size ear tips since my ears are big.

Weather Closings

I must confess that, at first, I thought the Stellar and the Traceless would have a very similar sound, as many of their characteristics are very similar. Fortunately, this was not the case, but they are two inexpensive earbuds with a different profile, allowing the user to choose the one he/she likes the most. Or why not! Buy both, as they can easily complement each other and the price is still very low. What more could you ask for? This list is meant to be used as a reference point. I highly recommend against blind-buying and suggest to have a listen to the IEMs yourself. By all means, use this to shortlist what you should try in the future but don’t take it as gospel.

My largest issue with the cable is its disposition to tangle, which would happen quite often when unraveling it. If you’re the type of person to secure their cables with hook-and-loop connectors, then I would suspect this wouldn’t be an issue for you, but the wound-round-the-finger types may get quite disgruntled. Sound: The presentation of the KBEar KS1 mostly leans towards the low frequencies and exhibits a warm, V-shaped tuning, though treble is mostly kept in control. Imaging Average, and possibly even something less. Too often I hear instrument and voices tending to position towards the center of the stage instead of being more properly distributed around it. Here’s my take on this, for example, like the Empire Ears Legend EVO’s tonality is graded B+ and the technicalities is graded A, whereas the ThieAudio Monarch MKII’s tonality is graded S+ and

The IEMs are ranked purely by sonic performance. Fit, isolation, durability, build quality etc. are ignored unless they interfere with the sound itself. Mids: are slightly recessed in the lower Mids but forward a little in the upper midrange and lower treble IMO, vocals are warm and have some emotion to them. The shell is made of a polycarbonate material, with no obvious flaws like some in this range (and above unfortunately), and I would call this appropriate for the price. Another nice touch is the aluminum alloy nozzle attached to the shell (making 3 parts total). An unexpected treat, the nozzle is on the longer and wider side, which KBear says makes the IEM last longer. I’m not sure how that would work, but.

But the KBEAR KS2 is not just a pure fun headphone, it also convinces with its very solid resolution and distinctive stage size. Coming to the Amping side if the story – you can literally taste or rather hear the difference between them be clear, as sour is from sweet!! Female vocals sound pretty great per se , they are well balanced. Not a hint of sibliance at all. They are well extended with air in their voice which comes through pretty nicely!!On first impressions, the KS2 didn't have much of a detailed separation, most of the sound comes out as one cohesive sound with the bass sounding slightly separated due to it being boosted. However, when listening closer, you can actually hear that the separation level here is between the highs, mids level. Highs usually get drowned out on the genres that I listen to, but works better with Rap and RnB. In heavier genres or songs, the sound tend to sound rather mashed up and hence I don't recommend this for heavy genre songs such as Metal. Knowlege Zenith, for example, shows with the ZSN Pro that you can get better haptic and aesthetic (I know this is a matter of taste) at this price.
