i LOVE LOVE LOVED this book so much when i put my head phones on instead of wanting to watch TV i wanted to read that is how much i loved the book! Again, similar arc to WoT book 12, The Gathering Storm where Rand became Darth Rand and used his powers for 'good' uses but with dark means, although Spencer had her own spins and twists. This deeply personal and supportive series offers listeners an honest and relatable insight into how some the UK's best-known celebrities have coped with mental health difficulties, ranging from OCD to insomnia, addiction to grief, and depression to anxiety.The world has depth, and from the very beginning there is a great sense of epic background and history. New and familiar characters abound, voiced by a bright mix of performers, including Kat Dennings, Regé-Jean Page, Emma Corrin, Michael Sheen, Kristen Schaal, Brian Cox, John Lithgow, Jeffrey Wright, and so many more, including fan-favorite narrators Simon Vance and Ray Porter. I'm not saying she's a bad author, but she did not do good on this book, I would've liked Kara better as the dark mage. Except one infamous case, of course, and after that no one ever tried to become that powerful again. Give yourself plenty of time to read because when you get your feet in this world you are going to want to run. Even smaller, more minor characters are distinct from the others around them, and the larger ones are well-painted portraits.Especially without stumbling over them, as is easy to do so when creating something of such grinding complexity. Indie Focus: I am going to try and make these segment focused on indie books, because as an indie author myself I feel an obligation to spread the love. Without context, arbitrary power rankings are thrown about, and we're expected to swallow that Derian is one of the most powerful people ever, a thing which hasn't been done before?

I liked how Spencer developed his character and boxed him into a narrow path without options, and I liked how he remained plagued by remorse for the blood on his hands, but continued forging ahead with his plan.
