Smaller sensors do not have a bigger depth of field that larger sensors (negative formats)I think it is the result of the "equivalent" that one wants to use comparing smaller sensors with the full frame sensor or the usual 35mm format 24x36mm.

This is not the case, for the lens is a half the distance to the sensor surface and captures twice as much light. And they come with a trade-off, as to get them you'll need to stop down a fair bit, but doing so means you'll quickly pass the diffraction limit thanks to the Micro Four Thirds sensor size and its relatively high equivalent F-numbers. While the lens has a fair degree of barrel distortion in its optical design (which is to be expected, as the M43 system prioritizes compact size), distortion is fully corrected for, digitally, in the camera's JPEGs and/or in your Raw converter.Corner sharpness when focused in the center of the frame isn't bad, but focusing on the top right corner yields notably sharper results there, indicating some field curvature on the 'telephoto' end.

The corner performance isn't great at wide open too, it is visibly soft and there is light fall-off, or vignetting. The UHR (Ultra High Refractive Index) lens and aspherical lenses achieve uniformed description from the center to the edges. And boy oh boy, it was awesome to be able to go out and shoot again, after almost half a year living in total isolation. We can take the phrase undistorted view of the world quite literally, as the distortion levels measured are an extremely low -0. The full frame pixels in that example will be bigger so the image will appear darker but it just needs a the values to be rescaled and you will have the same image with the same noise performance. Its light weight is substantially due to plastic barrel construction, but thankfully the mount is metal, which rightly or wrongly always inspires more confidence than plastic versions. CA is well under control, being virtually eliminated in the centre and only slightly drifting at the widest apertures at the edges.

That photograph alone should make the Youngno people happy that a gifted photographer is putting their lens to good use! The lens bayonets smoothly and securely onto the Panasoni Lumix G6 camera body used for this review. If you want to be able to change lens (most important item in photography) with portability, this is it. We found these to work very nicely; flare is well-controlled, though it does show up as a slight loss in contrast if you aim directly at the sun at the right angle. An inner focus drive system and stepping motor for smooth, silent operation to work with the camera’s high-speed, high-precision Contrast AF system for both photo and video recording.

PRO has resulted in a focusing system which is faster and more precise than ever before: It is equipped with an MSC mechanism, it utilizes an inner focusing system that drives the auto-foucs with a single lens element. so yeah this will be about as good as it gets for the average M4/3 user that isn't springing for an f1.
