Both of my children were early talkers, my son in particular mastered long words and concepts very early. It does definitely takes some adult supervision to get the doll into the correct positions, particularly to crawl, you also have to hold the dolls arms to get her to walk otherwise her legs just kind of collapse under her. It's worth mentioning that she doesn't come with any batteries so remember that if you are planning to get her as a Christmas present. These days it's all about setting the dolls apart from each other and with them all having their own unique designs and functions this one sounds like it would be amazing to play with! You can place her on her tummy for tummy time and watch her crawl, she can be sat up and then take her first steps! If Baby Annabell is sat up right, with her arms out stretched, she becomes quite upset and has a tantrum.

Annabell works best on a non slip floor but we only have wooden floors so were unable to demonstrate the crawling as well as we would have liked. What I like about this doll is that we can easily switch her off (when she gets too annoying - haha) so you don't need to listen to her constantly babbling if you don't want to and she can have times when she walks and crawls (when switched on) mixed with times when she can act like a regular doll and be cradled/pushed in her stroller ect.The adorable baby Annabell not only laughs and cries she is also able to crawl and is learning to sit up and walk with a little support from her new mummy’s. Baby Annabell also sits for you and sometimes she will even throw a tantrum, just like a real baby to get her own way! She makes the cutest sounds and her eyes really close – making for the most adorable make-believe play for your little one. Once switched on she gurgles and coo’s, but to make her crawl you need to put her in the crawling position and lift her head up so she is looking ahead. We really like Baby Annabell Learns to Walk and think she is a great addition to our collection of dolls and would make a brilliant Christmas present for any doll loving little girl.

I much prefer Eva to attend to this baby in the caring (very rough/haphazard like a normal 3 year old) manner than her actual sister. She’s the perfect soft-bodied companion to introduce younger children to the wonderful world of roleplay! In October we were sent Baby Annabell Learns to Swim and she is now a regular attendee of our swimming lessons, as Eliza is allowed to play with her at the end if she listens during her lesson. We’ve not had the doll long, so we can’t comment on the battery life or how durable she is but she certainly seems very sturdy and well made. Start her off on all fours and watch as she struggles to crawl, you might hear some crying sounds but that’s not for long, Emily is clever and soon she’s off, crawling along the floor!
