The only way to truly get a 1ms response time is to crank up the overdrive on the monitor to the maximum which leads to ghosting and halos, effectively making everything blurry and resulting in an unplayable experience. In games, however, it’s a totally different story. The relatively low resolution enables your graphics card to pump out many more frames per second and in turn make the most of that 144Hz refresh. Lastly, there are four Overdrive options for the response time speed: Off, Weak, Medium, and Strong.Besides getting a slightly bigger screen, you get a higher peak brightness of 400-nits as well as slightly better viewing angles and color performance. Moving on to the performance, the AOC G2590FX input lag is impressively low and amounts to only ~4ms. So, even professional gamers won’t be able to notice any delays.
