About this deal

On the third finger of his left hand there was now a thin red string, carefully tied there by Hua Cheng. He shall venture to Mount Tonglu to slaughter the ghosts as they gather and try to keep a new king from being created. I have to admit that from time to time he provides a needed comical relief* but otherwise I can't stand him.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. My favourite things about this volume: Hua Cheng being his gremlin self, Quan Yizhen and Yin Yu's backstory, Quan Yizhen confirmed neurodivergent, the Rain Master's epic entrance, the very brief fengqing moment at the beginning, Qi Rong trying to be a good dad, and of course my favourite, Pei Ming being left to die by the others several times. With losing worshippers and Quan Yizhen outshining him and unintentionally offending him, it was bound for Yin Yu to snap. Seeing how in love he was with Lian in the first few volumes was sweet, but it's worn thin at this point, and he's really got nothing else going for him. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. He may claim not to be a gossip, but he does love listening to Hua Cheng spill the secrets and stories of everyone else.

So many of my friends have already read it, so they can’t say much to my theories, but it’s still fun to discuss characters with them. It is not included in promotions available to our main range products, as stated in our terms of service. And what's really the point in having all these dangerous situations popping up time and again when these two can just wave their hands and it's taken care of? As they struggle against murderous ghosts and the mountain's strange defenses, Hua Cheng's knowledge of the area may prove invaluable. thank goodness for san lang finally telling him that if he’s in pain or hungry or tired or sad that he was *allowed* to be those things?

I know I shouldn’t compare but, if you have read Mo Dao Zu Shi (Grandmaster of Demonic Cultivation), we both know the author is more than capable of making the best character arcs (Lan Wanji’s)-and using less volumes for that. Plus, for as smart and sharp as Lian is about literally everything else, he's still to figure out who Cheng was in his past, or even that he was *in* Lian's past, and there's zero reason for that. Hints have been made before about his endurance, his willingness to eat anything knowing it can’t kill him … but it’s stated more baldly here than it has before. Everything happening to them right now is very interesting and stressful and I'm just loving watching them uncover the mystery together. He greatly admired Yin Yu and would’ve never said anything offensive had he known it would be taken that way. Overall, I felt the author added this volume to drag out the story more than it was necessary, nothing really stood up for me and I’m starting to see this may not be for me after all. Her series have enormously popular multimedia adaptations and have been published in numerous languages around the world. In the first book in the series, Banyue and Pei Xiu — the now mortal descendant of the martial god Pei Ming — found themselves in Mount Tonglu, and in this book we learn more about Pei Ming himself. He saw that the man's shoulders had a few red blossoms scattered on them, and he wanted to brush them off for him, but he realized that gesture would be overly intimate.
