About this deal

For Arthur Dent, who has only just had his house demolished that morning, this seems already to be more than he can cope with. This is not intended to be a full statement of all your rights under the Distance Selling Regulations. It is about regular men in the throes of war, fighting for their families, their comrades, and for their very lives.

In Love Is Not Enough, Mark’s first Audible Original, you’ll follow five real people over the course of six months as they navigate f--ked up romantic situations, ranging from dating app addiction to marital affairs to absurd fantasies.

If you think there are only a handful of ways to describe the colour of a sky, Buchheim would like a word with you. This book is certainly one of the best books in its genre and should be read if you got any interest in boats or war. With a colourful cast of robots, humans and even robotic pets along the way, Boot’s adventures are by turns exciting, quirky and moving. The boat, on the other hand, almost becomes a hero, which, as the whale Melville described in an almost erotic and affectionate way, becomes an almost mythical object – a "dark ferry on oily-black slick, as it glides out of the submarine bunker on enemy voyages. I loved Boots personality and determination and this story could be used to show children that they can face any obstacles they encounter, especially if they’re surrounded by friends.

The sheer length of each scene was torturous; I enjoy reading well-detailed and descriptive prose, but this was a whole new level. Everything Boot thought it knew about the world is changing, and things aren't as simple as it remembers . The author did a fantastic job of giving a detailed blow-by-blow of daily life under a variety of circumstances from attack to counterattack, from calm seas to storms, from departure to arrival.

The book weaves a subtle message of warning about the effects that a technological future may have on the human race and yet makes us fall in love with the robots themselves- albeit the robots that are broken and unwanted. Shortlisted for the Sainsbury’s Book Award* This is a thrill-ride of an adventure, with illustrations by Ben Mantle bringing Boot’s world to life. This deeply personal and supportive series offers listeners an honest and relatable insight into how some the UK's best-known celebrities have coped with mental health difficulties, ranging from OCD to insomnia, addiction to grief, and depression to anxiety. I highly recommend this book to anyone who wishes to have a glimpse into the isolated and fearful yet freeing world of being crewed on a U-Boat in WW2. I imagine that the purpose of the book was to show how awful the experience was the officers assigned to U-boats.
