About this deal

I prefer to apply the Jerome Alexander foundation in my bathroom, as I sometimes accidentally get the formula on the counter. This bestselling powder diminishes the appearance of age spots, dark circles, and uneven skin tone INSTANTLY using four shades of complexion correctors - pink, yellow, mint, and lavender - each dedicated to different skin challenges. So I saw an Instagram post that was promoting the Jerome Alexander magic minerals bronzer set and I thought it looked super pretty and ideal offering 4 shades in one little compact that is meant to offer an all seasons makeup set!

But because the ingredients sketch me out a little bit, I’m not interested in using this for daily use. The sponge is a bit ‘meh’ and a bit old school these days and definitely wouldn’t use it to apply a powdered bronzer as I would end up looking way too cakey and orange I think the general idea with mineral makeup is less is more however the brushes are lovely and I will definitely use these to achieve the look I’m after. According to EWG’s Skin Deep database, the Jerome Alexander Magic Minerals Airbrush Foundation is marked as a 6 out of 10 (10 being potentially very harmful to your health) on their scale. The Magic Minerals Airbrush foundation is just one of the many products housed under Jerome Alexander Cosmetics. This ultra-fine micronized mineral powder is so smooth and light, it naturally diminishes the appearance of age spots, dark circles and uneven skin tone without caking or getting caught in wrinkles. That is why the products not only contain high-quality color pigments, but also care ingredients that moisturize, protect and nourish your skin. Our multitasking formula is infused with the Jerome Alexander Skincare Makeup™ proprietary blend of skincare actives and delivers immediate results and long-term anti-aging benefits.

As far as mineral makeup goes i much prefer their take on this type of make up as the pressed powder works much better for me, the loose powders just arent really for me other than a little spot concealing. I first discovered Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation when I worked with the folks over at skinSALVATION acne clinic in San Francisco. The ultra-fine micronized mineral powder features special built-in colour correctors which work their magic together to bring you beautiful, clear and flawless skin.

I love the way this blends into the skin and has pretty great staying power, but I think I would only use it for special occasions. For other foundation shades, I am a match for NARS Sheer Glow Foundation in Mont Blanc, Alima Pure Satin Matte Foundation in Neutral 2, and MERIT The Minimalist Perfecting Complexion Foundation and Concealer Stick in Dune. Mineral powder is the same used in the bestselling Jerome Alexander magic minerals range and has built-in colour correctors; Pink - Brightens pale complexions / Mint - Dulls redness and conceals skin discoloration / Lavender - Camouflages yellow and pallid skin / Yellow - Coverage for your under and over eye areas. I was first introduced to the eczema-focused brand long before I ever tried the Skinfix Triple Lipid-Peptide Cream.

It was 2016, I was a newly minted assistant beauty editor at Family Circle magazine, and was in the throes of learning as much as I could about the beauty industry. All in all, I would definitely recommend using the Magic Minerals Airbrush Foundation for special occasions or infrequent use. While many brands focus on either beauty or grooming, Jerome Alexander understood that the two go hand in hand. After 50 years of helping people feel more beautiful, Jerome believes that his greatest accomplishments are founded in his role as an educator. The Magic Minerals Airbrush Foundation does not irritate my skin and does not cause me to break out. It’s a lightweight powdered bronzer – as you can see from the swatches above, it doesn’t go on cakey either which is a bonus but applying too much would endanger you of getting that ‘tangooed’ look which nobody wants.Overall I was happy with the application and the selection of colours on the palette and it seemed to work quite well, and lasted well all day and felt quite leightweight on my skin and I would be happy to use this as my handbag bronzer when out and about as if it broke I wouldn’t be devastated unlike some of my other bronzers that I use. I believe that the brand has had to include some of these ingredients because the product comes in an air canister, but I am still a little iffy about it. After spending the last two years trying to cure it naturally, I finally decided to take a low dose of spironolactone, a potassium-sparing diuretic.
