About this deal

This was a super clean read, but I became annoyed with the “secrets” Beth was supposed to keep for her mother. They soon learn it’s harder to live under the same roof with feelings they can never completely bury. Even though Beth is no longer the lanky girl next door, Josh isn’t looking for a relationship anyway. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. But after getting all her credits, she did not get into nursing school as she was pregnant with her second child and decided to stay at home.

The friend-next-door-all-grown-up is a fun idea and I loved how Josh and Beth came together once again. Thank you for the time you have spent with us on the platform and for giving us the opportunity to bring a little bit of joy into your life.Serious review aside, the authors overuse of the word “startled” drove me nuts and ignoring everything else that I disliked about it, would be the sole cause for me to not read another book from her. Look forward to reading more of these books im a mom of 5 all under the age 10 and these bring some type of affection mystery drama and love into your life. The latter came crashing down when Principal Connell asked her to help lead Cade turn his life around.

I didn’t want this one to end but am excited to see how easily and quickly Jonathan’s story will continue from this one. i bought this book because i kept seeing that scene on tiktok and instagram where he’s like “don’t say you love my daughter like she’s your own” because i thought it would transition into some like really hot scene but it did not and i was genuinely so disappointed like this book is so not worth it. This is the first book in a series, and the characters make me want to find out how the next chapter goes. I know I am a fast reader, but I felt like I read this book super fast, and I just felt like it was because there wasn’t a whole lot of meat to it. All things aside, the fact that this was about a step sister-step brother “falling in love” is weird and gross.

One piece of the writing that had a lack of creativity to the point that I decided to two-star the review instead of giving it three-stars is that the author had 9 different characters or locations with names that all started with the letter J, including a character named Jordan and a town named Jordan. Ultimately, the protagonists proclaim their love for one another after 2 or 3 days having done nothing more than hold hands once or twice. When she is not taking care of her kids, she can usually be found developing ideas for her romantic novels. With their past hurt lingering on their minds, both are left to decide if love is worth fighting for or if being together just isn’t in the cards for them. i feel like the only thing i know about shelby is that she has feeling for miles but she really doesn’t even know how she actually feels.
