Mac-Talla, meaning "Echo" in Scottish Gaelic, is a range of single malt Scotch. The Bunnahabhain distillery is known for its connection to the sea, as the distillery is situated in a remote area on the Islay coast. In the 18 th century a tax was imposed on alcohol production in Scotland, leading to many distilleries looking for creative ways to avoid detection. It’s spicy and although it does have character, it doesn’t have too much body. Therefore, it’s capable of contrasting the wine’s flavours without overwhelming it.
