Having regularly toured Ireland since the release of debut album "Eugene" in November 2017, the band will be performing here in Belfast before embarking on a short Irish tour in the days preceding this gig.--------------Dublin's Shrug Life started as the product of rubbish jobs, failed romance and political apathy. Known for their wry humour and frenetic indie-rock, the trio supported and toured with songwriting heroes Jeffrey Lewis and So Cow before releasing their debut album ¯_(ツ)_/¯ in October 2017, via Seattle based Jigsaw Records. The album was hailed by the Irish Times for it's "sharp lyrics that poke and prod at the clamour of modern life", while the Thin Air named it in their 15 best albums of the year stating "they are impossibly infectious and improbably good". Recently Shrug Life have played supports for international acts Hers, The Beths, Declen Welsh and Pip Blom, while putting the finishing touches on their second album."Shrug Life deserves to be heard. Nurture them because fuck knows we’re not going to get another group like them for a long time" - The Thin Air--------------Larry is a three piece band from Dundalk. A combination of lo-fi alt-rock with raw emotive lyrics & pop sensibilities stems from the songwriting of Sparklehorse & Wilco combined with the style of Courtney Barnett & Pixies. After only a handful of live shows Larry booked to record their debut album in Electrical Audio, Chicago with renowned recording engineer Steve Albini (Nirvana, Pixies, Shellac) in September 2018. Their self titled album, released on 12" vinyl on Pizza Pizza records in April 2019, is a snapshot of the band playing in the most ambitious, raw & exciting way possible with a focus on creating an album that is 100% analogue.Join us for a night of lovely music!
