I'm finding a full spray can be a lot different than the sample which you apply with the applicator stick. Its weirdly addictive but i also dont like it, but i want to smell it, but it feels boring, yet theres a hint of intrest, im all over the place with this.I am sorry to be blunt but this is completely uninspiring and if you think it is awesome the good news is there’s so much more out there for you to be amazed then. Scent profile: This fragrance smells like the name suggests woods and spices also I pickup musk and vanilla and apple and rose. Longevity in perfumes refers to the duration of time that a fragrance remains detectable on the skin or in the air after it is applied. I can smell a little bit of oud too, it's a synthetic oud, and not the tar, bitter smelling kind, this is the more sweet, funky, animalic, barnyard smelling oud. Like having a promising hand to begin with then being sold down the river in a game of texas hold 'um!

And I'm sure that I have more problems with the anise than with the sweetness: I actually loved Montale Sweet Oriental Dreams, even though it is sweeter than this one. If you're into the kind of fragrance I described please do try this, and don't feel discouraged due to the massive amount of dislikes.
Clearly a bit overrated scent, it dries down in a woodsy spicy - sweet type of fragrance, I smelled better Sandalwood + spices based fragrances like Xerjoff - Ivory route.
In perspective, I should raise my ratings of all other Montale's, as this one is really the worst of them all. I don’t know if the guys hovering over the cauldron hadn’t showered in a while and sweat into the batch or what happened.I would say this is very generic and smells like something I have had I just can't put my finger on it.
