Disappointingly though, the X45 was sat in a plastic clamshell. Another piece of plastic destined for the landfill! We’d really like to see this become card in the future! This is a bit of an odd one, there has been a bit of a downgrade with hardware, but with the popularity of streaming, Zoom calls etc there are significant advantages to be had with the SmartComms Kit. The Sound Blaster X4 features the game-changing Super X-Fi technology, which garnered 23 best-of awards at CES 2019-2020. It recreates the soundstage of a premium multi-speaker surround system in headphones, and personalizes it for a natural listening experience. Users will be able to enjoy a transformative audio experience that offers greater surround envelopment, depth, immersion and spatialization effects - like in a real cinema, a gaming battlefield or a concert hall. Along the bottom edge, we can see a microphone select button (labelled AUDIO BAL, a balancing mode), a MODE button (which enabled the sound modes including DIRECT MODE), and the SXFI button. Creative app provides you with various configuration options to enhance the performance of your product and personalize your audio settings. Other than the plastic case and buttons the SoundBlaster X3 overall is a great audio experience when connected with the apps. The mic sometimes echoes but is not a huge problem for the user and can be solved but it is full of options and great settings for all sorts of games. The pre-set options for numerous games, default earphones and the options to change the audio experience is a delight for gaming, a setup in the right direction to enhance the audio gaming experience.
