Almost every line feels "too chatty" and forgettable, at times annoying and excessive. The animation and (human) models feel and look too generic, as if this was made in 2010. The story is too simplistic, and happenings coincidental. The progress rushed and the ending unearned. Personally, I consider this the worse kind of script, the one that feels underwritten with uncharismatic and barely developed characters. Worst of all, for a dance-centric plot, there's basically no music accompanying or elevating the matches. Rob Harrell's penned an incredibly fun, quirky, and silly story about Rayburn - the monster that belongs to Stoker-on-Avon. I loved the whole subversion, right off the bat, that the monsters terrorize the town and the townsfolks LOVE it. They run and scream, and when it's all over, they are absolutely delighted. Unfortunately for Stoker-on-Avon, Rayburn has a bit of depression going on. He doesn't want to do much of anything, and his sighs and grumblings are bringing down the whole town.

So, without further ado, let the wild rumpus begin… well let us think long and hard about our fitness to participate in said rumpus, meditate on the meaning of the rumpus and its role in the world at large. Did you know that the universe is expanding? How am I supposed to review this book when I know that the universe is expanding, if we are not ripped apart atom by atom, our distant progeny will be,. Okay, now that you’re in the right frame of mind, let’s talk about “Monster on the Hill.” I mean, it's not supplanting Zita the Spacegirl in my affections, but yay happy good, and it'll be an easy sell to ALL OF THE CHILDRENS (and adults). When the movie starts, you see a TV commercial for Monster Wrestling mash-up with beautiful animation and some incredible drawings and artistic style! It's a great introduction.. but it seems like budget and creativity ran out right there.
