I was drawn to the title and the idea of "girl recovers from grief of losing her Perfect Boyfriend when he dies abroad, and finds solace with his best friend," but it's starting to seem like this will actually read more like one of those love triangle stories where the girl chooses wrong, a. This is a bit of a brick (450 pgs), but when I'm ready to commit, love the idea of a " clever contemporary YA retelling of Henry VIII and his wives (or, in this case, his high school girlfriends). The surprises around every corner kept me on the edge of my seat, waiting to find out what was going to happen.

When the drama started unfolding, it kept me confused and curious with the characters so I started guessing with them as well, which was fun to do.
