If you don’t think you are ready to go totally nude, you can always choose to wear your sensual lingerie or that you feel comfortable inf during the photo session. To prepare for my professional photoshoot, I made a moodboard—something Mednik had suggested in our interview. iv. Hair usually styles best when not freshly washed so we advise that you wash your hair the day before, and arrive without it styled and with no product in it. Hair extensions can add that extra volume of glamour when needed, however, this should be fixed before your shoot.

We had a few planning consultations before the shoot and came up with a handful of hot, fun, daring and creative scenarios. Alison was super nervous before her shoot, but knew she wanted to go outside her comfort zone, so she committed fully. I was blown away by how much beauty and strength she brought in front of my camera.I was lousy in bed. I wrote my first sex book because I hated sex. I couldn’t have an orgasm with a man! I couldn’t afford therapy so I went to the library & read (and studied) every sex book on the shelves for two years. I taught myself how to orgasm in the library (well maybe not right in the library) and then said, ‘Wow! I know a lot of stuff. I think I’ll write a book.’ Here at Femme Art Boudoir, we love photographing women in their most intimate lingerie and produce images that show how elegant they are in their own skin.

Standard boudoir shoots involve about an hour of Victoria’s Secret-inspired hair and makeup. This gives clients a second to get in the zone before, you know, taking their clothes off. And the photographers suggested I incorporate something similar— hair and makeup, sexy music, a glass (or two) of wine—into my own nude selfie shoots. I don't have much of a problem being naked around people (just ask my poor, poor roommates), but even I thought this period of mental preparation sounded like a good idea. You will be asked to bring a few pieces like thongs, etc. We will send you specific information on what to bring and how to prepare for your shoot once you’ve selected your date, paid your deposit and have had a discussion with me. During your photoshoot, I will guide and direct you the entire time. Her hair and make-up artist Emily was also fabulous. She created a look that was even better than what I had envisioned and the end results looked so awesome in the photos. We are based in Victoria bc. Christa not only gave me THE most amazing gift in portraits that I will treasure for the rest of my life, but she also gave me the gift of pushing myself well beyond my comfort zone. The shoot itself was a magical experience. I was giddy but also unsure of myself. By the end of the shoot I felt amazing inside and out because I had soaked up Christa’s smile, laughter, energy, creativity, beauty and confidence. I was blown away when I saw the resulting photos. My heart leaped. I couldn’t stop grinning and saying out loud “is that really me?” YES. That is me – those are my eyes, that is my smile and that is my spirit. Thank you Christa. Nude boudoir is quite more common than you think. Not only do women do nude boudoir photography, but it is very common for couples to also do a pre-wedding nude boudoir session. There is an even bigger market for nude maternity portraits. Whatever the occasion, finding a nude boudoir photographer according to your liking is very important. While Ribinik's makeup artist worked her magic, Ribinik walked me through the fundamentals of boudoir scenery—which is basically just that you want to pose in a clean, well-lit, ideally luxurious-looking room.
