About this deal

When the barrel is pressurised, the gas will escape from the S30 valve on to your spare hand. When you feel the cold blast of gas escaping, unscrew the CO2 beer gas cylinder to stop pressurising. Whether you're a seasoned home brewer or just getting started, our CO2 gas products are a must-have for any setup.

Some GBB magazines don't allow for direct access to the piercer, and in this case, we recommend a few drops of silicone oil be dropped into the CO2 compartment, or a blast of silicone spray be sprayed inside following the removal of a spent CO2 capsule prior to storage. Adding additional CO2 to the fermenter for serving is done via the mini regulator. This fits the grey disconnect and attaches to the gas-in post on the lid, with the grooves. The pressure can be adjusted with the dial on the regulator. Tips: CO2 or Carbon Dioxide is an odorless, colorless, non inflammable gas with a light sour taste, it does not contain any minerals, salts or other solid ingredients. Using 8g CO2 bulbs is the most straight forward method, providing you have the right equipment. But it is also the most wasteful. Chubby is perfect for 23-25L batches and still provides plenty of fermenter headspace. It’s great for beer kits, fresh wort kits, and wine kits. As it is also pressure-rated for up to 35 PSI, you’ll be confident that you will not leak gas or beer from the system. Plus, its ability to hold pressure at high levels means you can take advantage of the natural CO2 that is produced during fermentation and naturally carbonate your beverage.

One of the most common uses of CO2 gas in home brewing is carbonation. This is the process of adding CO2 to the beer to give it a bubbly texture and enhance its flavour. Home brewers can use several methods to carbonate their beer, such as natural carbonation, forced carbonation, or a combination of both. Natural carbonation occurs when the residual yeast in the beer consumes the added sugar and produces CO2 gas. Forced carbonation, on the other hand, involves using a CO2 tank to force the gas into the beer. Gas for Beer Kegs Try to maintain temperatures during fermentation as this will improve the finished beer. You could consider having a fermentation fridge to aid with this, which could then be used to cool the finished beer ready for serving. This is a sure way to cause the rubber o-rings inside the magazine to perish prematurelydue to the extremely cold temperature of pressurised CO2. We advise that you always empty the entire capsule and remove it from the magazine or gun before storing your pistol between skirmishes to avoid your O-rings failing.
