About this deal

She’s got a loving family and friends and used to have cute little dramas at school that pretty much anyone could relate to. The latest fictional novel by the Rachel Renee Russell’s ”Dork Diaries” is Tales from a NOT-SO-Happy Birthday, which is thirteenth in the series. I had really low expectations, compared to how much I squealed when they revealed the last book's cover. Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Happy-Birthday, also known as Birthday Drama, is the 13th book in the Dork Diaries series. She ran to the dog park to see if Brianna was there and all Nikki could see is a big group of people.

An like with her first 7 books and the 9th book I feel like Russell did great with them and everything was amazing but.Nikki awakes from a horrible nightmare that her friends and frenemies are at her birthday party, and things go all wrong! Anyway, on the whole, I think I liked this one better than the last one because even though Nikki whined and complained as much as she always does, there wasn't any huge conflict that made me want to stop reading. It is the the second Dork Diaries book in which Chloe and Zoey appear on the cover, the first book being Double Dork Diaries. If a teacher wants their students to start writing about their days in a journal or diary, this could introduce the concept for them. I haven't read this latest book yet, but five stars already ✌because I am pretty confident that it would not let my expectations down🙃.

Nikki has a nightmare that MacKenzie Hollister ruined Nikki's country club birthday party and is getting nervous to have a party. Nikki gets as birthday present a new bicycle, replacing her old one that she mentioned in Dork Diaries: Tales from a Not-So-Graceful Ice Princess.

The funny part was when Nikki's little sister Briana kept baking with her new Princess Sugarplum Easy Bake Oven and made these amazing doggy snacks, great for humans and dongs. I understand that catchphrases can be important in the continuity of a series but I would have liked to have seen some new ones added to the ones that have been used for 13 books now. I would like to thank Rachel Renee Russel and her children Erin and Nikki and the narrator Jenni Barber for all their hard work that I wished that I met them in real life one day and it would make me happy and my life. Nikki finally gets the courage to ask her mom for the money, but after hearing how much is needed, her mom replies “No Way!

But, when she tries to explain to her best friends, Zoeysha Franklin and Chloe Garcia, that she can't have a birthday, they think she wants to have a pool party, and Chloe and Zoey get so excited that Nikki can't say no to the party. As well as the best friends we've come to love as well as the enemies we too hate like Nikki, this book will make you laugh, commiserate and sympathise with the various situations that Nikki finds herself facing! I think she's changed the books' target demographic to much younger and I don't have a problem with that. But, I do respect the point that Rachel is trying to keep her readers hooked in and probably has everything solved at the last minute/last book.André and Brandon are also back too and still rivalling it out over Nikki's affections as she finally decides what to do over the summer, band tour or trip to Paris? But of course, she switched to the band and I couldn't help thinking that was the illustrator chickening out of drawing a tourist attraction outside of the Eiffel Tower. This could show students that they could create writing that appears to also be from the viewpoint of a diary or journal. This book falls into the contemporary realistic fiction because of the story is realistic for a young girl who is planning a birthday party in today's day and times.

Dork Diaries Tales from a not so Happy Birthday by Rachel Renee Russell is about a girl named Nikki Maxwell and her and her friends Chole and Zoey want to throw a HUGE party for Nikki. two stars because this book felt repetitive and some things made me dislike Nikki even more as a spoiled, self-centered person.Chloe, Zoey, and Nikki sneak into the post office and try to find the invitations before it's too late, and guests think the party isn't canceled. The party is fun, until Tiffany Davenport and Mackenzie tells Nikki's crush, Brandon Roberts, Zoey, and Chloe, that Nikki decided to go on her all-expenses-paid trip to Paris, France instead of on the Bad Boyz tour with her band, Actually, I'm Not Really Sure Yet. Unfortunately, Nikki has a budget of 100 dollars and she needs 500 dollars and she has a lot more problems. Yet again another great Dork diary book comes out and it's a great read when I have nothing to read. They were best selling, and Nikki and Briana became business partners, and Nikki got the birthday party of her dreams in the end, EXCEPT when the enemies came.
