Only one band per night will qualify for the Grand Final. Link below.www.facebook.com/events/2420990041475372/This is a contest, so there will be no payment for performing - however Krakatoa will absorb all show costs, and you might win £2000 in cash - after all, well, someone has to!Every participating band gets a 30 minute set to impress our three independent judges, who will be scoring the performances across five different categories (Material, Performance, Technical Ability, Audience Engagement and Professionalism). We’ll endeavour to ensure that the judges are as independent and objective as possible.(Please note that reliance on cover versions will obviously lower your 'Material' score.) The running order will be determined by a sociable game of chance an hour before the show starts.Band #1 = 8.00-8.30pmBand #2 = 8.50-9.20pmBand #3 = 9.40-10.10pmBand #4 = 10.30-11.00pmComprehensive backline will be provided to facilitate short intervals, but performers are welcome to take along their own amps, pedals, etc, and drummers will be expected to use their own cymbals, snare and kick pedal. All acts need to be in the venue by 7pm, to load-in, discuss technical set-ups with our engineer, and take part in a game of chance to allocate their stage slot.Note: Bands are expected to invite a bunch of friends to the Facebook event for their show - the more, the better!(Head to your event, and click 'Share' > 'Invite Friends')Kindly sponsored by our good chums at Captain Toms for the fourth year running!
