About this deal

Like i stated in the beginning, i'm not very into reading because there is nothing good to read about, but this book made me go home and read and enjoy it!

Overall, while there were some flaws, I really did find Frost to be enjoyable, and if you think you might like this then you should read it! Crawford are Wall Street Journal bestselling authors of fantasy romance and urban fantasy--not one person but two. Home to William Golding, Sylvia Plath, Kazuo Ishiguro, Sally Rooney, Tsitsi Dangarembga, Max Porter, Ingrid Persaud, Anna Burns and Rachel Cusk, among many others, Faber is proud to publish some of the greatest novelists from the early twentieth century to today. He shows up in the human world, just like Orion did with Rowan, and they take on a mutually beneficial pact. Plenty of action keeps the story going and keeps plenty of questions remaining open that would feed in nicely to a sequel.

If you are a fan of stories with original ideas and addictive writing then you'll want to grab this one! The authors are (Rightly) using the language of imago dei to talk about how Christians are to be human in the world, and this is useful in our polarised world. For those who really hate romance involved in genres that aren’t contemporary, I highly suggest this for you. This story of a clash between a determined young girl and an authoritarian regime is both perceptive and painfully emotional, convincing in every detail-- Hermione Lee , Observer, Intense, troubling, semi-miraculous . Alone since her mother's death, she has one constant her fiancé when he betrays her Ava is heartbroken swearing off love and it’s this decision that paves her way forward.

But there is also a fair bit of theology here, around what it means to be human, and some of that could be sharper. It makes me definitely understand why this book was compared to Cinder (despite the robot comparisons) – Meyer’s books also have great heroines that don’t do super special things, but are still special to us as readers. As I’ve said multiple times, I don’t really like journey stories, and for the first 100 or so pages, I really wasn’t into this one at all.
