      To finish the plastic bumper repair and prepare for the primer, the use of a plastic filler product is recommended. An elevated temperature post-cure is not required for parts made with epoxy resin however, post curing parts will improve the mechanical properties of the resin (and therefore the part) and so if you have the means to do it then it's certainly recommended. Regarding being dishwasher safe; a dishwasher is a very harsh environment (abrasive, high temperatures, caustic) and so I think it would be quite hard on any resin system.

      For a crack reaching the edge of the bumper panel, open the end to make a ’V’ shape and remove plastic residue with a sharp knife.

      To be more accurate the filler is a very dark grey, designed to be a match for the colour of carbon fibre which although also described as 'black' is also a very dark grey. Rather than replacing entire body panels - a process that’s both expensive and time consuming - filler enables you to repair damage to your vehicle’s bodywork in next to no time and at a fraction of the cost. Proper surface preparation will lead to the best results: Grinding the surface with a 3M™ Cubitron™ II Roloc™ Fibre Disc 80+ until a “fuzzy” surface is achieved, follwed by drilling several 3-6 mm holes at the base of the new tab near the edge of the bumper. It would be possible but our Black Epoxy Filler would not be our recommended method of bonding a fastener back into a carbon fibre frame.But if your bumper is cracked or split, the repair process becomes more complicated as you need to seal the split. Some products are better suited for large projects, while others can bond only certain kinds of plastic. It is possible for us to manufacture thin strips of plastic to other specifications but this would be custom production so is subject to much larger production runs, normally around 2000 metres. If your plastic bumper has scuffs and scratch damage, the repair can be carried out just on the front side of the bumper.
