About this deal

De miért is? Amíg az Újvilágban egyik bevált taktika bizonyos útvonalak befoglalása és ezzel az érzékenyebb lelkű mozdonytulajdonosok „megbántása”, addig az Öreg Kontinens már más füstök fújnak. When looking at who has the longest continuous path, you should look at each colour in turn. Trains can pass through the same city more than once, but each train can only be counted once. If two (or more) players are tied for the longest train, then they each score 10 points.

The biggest change includes the addition of the Technology Cards. Players start the game without any technology, and without it, they can only claim 1 and 2 space routes in England. The Pennsylvania half of this map collection adds a share mechanism to the basic TtR game. Each time that a player completes a route, they claim a share of one of the companies depicted next to that route. At the end of the game, whoever holds more shares of a company than all other players receives points as a reward. First and foremost, this expansion is great because it actually adds a whole new element to the game. Players will now be able to cross water spaces using ferries or sailboats which allows for plenty of options in regards to building routes giving players more places they can start from when trying to build their empire. The map features ferries, which are special routes linking two adjacent cities across a body of water. Locomotive cards must be played for each locomotive symbol on a ferry route, in addition to the usual cards of the route’s color. on at least one of the spaces making the route. To claim a Ferry Route, a player must play a Locomotive card for each Locomotive symbol on the route, and the usual set of cards of the proper color for the remaining spaces of that Ferry Route.Volume 5 comes with a big double-sided map with the UK and Pennsylvania on either side. Each side comes with its own set of special rules that can be added too, so you aren’t just getting a different board. Pennsylvania

There are 30 destination cards in the game. Shuffle these and deal three to each player. All cards should be kept secret so other players don’t know where you’re heading. Some routes between two cities benefit from two train lines, however, these only come into play when there are three to five players. When there are just two players these double routes are not in play, and you will need to find another way around. You just need to be aware that if cities are connected by a double route, you cannot claim both routes! If you are playing with only two or three players, the double routes don’t count. Once one of the routes of any colour has been claimed then the other route cannot be used.At the beginning of their turn, before taking their regular action, a player may discard Locomotives to buy ONE Technology Card. Remember that any 4 cards may be used as a Locomotive (or any 3 cards if you have the Booster Technology), even in this occasion. Because the score for some routes may be affected by technologies such as the Boiler Lagging or the Steam Turbines, waiting until the end to compute Routes points doesn't work in this expansion. The non-USA maps (and any expansions you’re using) remain available; if they include a route that goes through or into one of the new states, then it’s still there! This means that you can now take your train all over North America and beyond!
