About this deal

The Tweenies each have their own unique personalities, which are designed to help children learn how to interact with others. Jake is confident and outgoing, Fizz is bubbly and energetic, Milo is mischievous but caring, and Bella is shy and sensitive. Together, they form a diverse group of friends who learn important life lessons through their adventures. How were the Tweenies created? The Mission Darts Sabre range is a popular choice as they combine the lightness and strength of polycarbonate with the flight-grip of aluminium shafts. A Sabre dart stem is made from a strong polycarbonate material, but also feature an aluminium core and fixed top which helps enhance the grip of the flight. Song Time - the characters would sing a song, either relating to the main theme or plot of the episode or a "standard" nursery rhyme.

Tweenies is a British live action puppet children's television series created by Will Brenton and Iain Lauchlan. The programme is focused on four pre-school aged characters, known as the "Tweenies", playing, singing, dancing, and learning in a fictional playgroup in England. They are cared for by two adult Tweenies and two dogs.Judy (operated by Simon Grover/Sinead Rushe (outside); voiced by Sinead Rushe in the UK, Caroly Larson in the US) is a green-skinned woman who is the other of the playgroup managers. She speaks with a Northern Irish accent. She loves reading, gardening and being creative. Doodles (operated by Alan Riley and John Tobias; voiced by Justin Fletcher in the UK, James Rankin in the US) is a red and yellow male dog. Doodles is a very friendly and calm dog. His favourite color is yellow. His voice is based on Scooby-Doo's voice. He loves going for walks with Max and can often be seen looking out for Jake. Everyone Went to School Together: Bella reveals in Being Really Old that her grandmother and Max went to school together. Max - the co-owner of the daycare centre and the Tweenies's trusted friend. He accompanies the group whenever they travel "outside", and would frequently join in their activities. Jerk with a Heart of Gold: Bella. She is very bossy and can be pretty mean sometimes but she really cares about her friends.

Many of the above videos have also been dubbed into other languages. In addition, several of the Tweenies videos were produced in special versions for retailers with additional footage (for example, the "Party Games, Laughs & Giggles" video distributed at Marks & Spencer stores carried two additional segments, adding ten minutes to the video's running time). Many of the above videos were also released as DVDs under different names. iTunes has released a Best of Tweenies volume 1 which consists of the first six episodes of the series. [ citation needed] Books [ edit ] In the US dub, News Time is called "Circle Time", which is the term most often used in American kindergarten classes. Telly Time is also called "Video Time", most likely because it looks more like a computer than it does a TV anyway (especially in the later seasons). It was formerly shown on CBeebies, from 11 February 2002 until 1 April 2016. Like a number of other CBeebies programmes, a live stage version of the show has toured in the UK. The most recent tour, Top of the Tots, toured the British Isles during 2009, the series' 10th anniversary. In addition, the tour also played several shows in Hong Kong in late September and early October 2009. The Tweenies were also regulars on the annual CBeebies Live tours around the British Isles. Between 2003 and 2005, there was also a Tweenies theme park, at Alton Towers in the Cred Street section aimed at younger children, which replaced the Barney section and then was removed in favour of Bob the Builder. In 2000, Tweenies won two awards: Best Pre-School Educational Program and Best Live Action Pre-School Programme. Tomboy and Girly Girl: Bella and Fizz were best friends. Bella wears overalls, is loud and bossy and likes playing sports with Milo and Jake, being in charge, and arguing when she doesn't agree with something, while Fizz wears a pink dress, is shy and more introverted and likes doing ballet, playing with stuffed animals, and dressing as a princess. Story Time - Max or Judy would read a story to the four children and dogs. To the viewer, this would be an animated interstitial. You might recognise the 52-year-old for playing children’s comedian Mr Tumble, and has also fronted shows such as Fun Song Factory, Tikkabilla, Finley the Fire Engine and Shaun the Sheep.

Tweenies is a British children's animatronic puppet series which debuted in 1998. Like other children's shows in rotation, it aimed to entertain as well as educate children about various life and social skills using songs, stories and the like. However, unlike some of its contemporaries, the characters spoke in a discernable language and often directly interacted with the "outside world".

Title, Please!: The title is announced by one of the characters over an image of the episode rather than it appearing on screen. Bella is choleric; she is a bossy, bad-tempered Control Freak who always assumes the role of "leader" in the Tweenies' games. Beginning in 2001, the first Tweenies Live! show went on tour around arenas around the United Kingdom, produced by Tell-Tale Productions and BBC Worldwide, the show featured the Tweenies singing their favourite songs. A live-recording of this tour from the London Arena was released on VHS in July 2001. A follow-up show - Tweenies Live! 2: The Fab-a-Rooney Tour, toured from February–July 2002, and featured the live debut of Izzles. [4] When the show was redubbed in America, it removed all references to its British environment and inserted Americanisms instead. Since the show was dubbed into many different languages, this most likely happened with their dubs as well, but the American edition is most egregious due to treating their audience like goldfish. In December 2000, the Tweenies starred in their own dedicated special of the series which featured more of their singles like Do The Lollipop and Have Fun Go Mad!. This episode was later released on VHS and DVD as Music is Pop-a-Rooney! in July 2002, with new wrap-around segments recorded in the Playgroup.

In one Christmas special, Fizz meets a doll who sings pop songs, and together they sing a parody of ABBA's "Knowing Me, Knowing You" The Tweenies were created by Will Brenton and Iain Lauchlan, who also created the popular children’s show "The Playdays". The idea for the Tweenies came from their desire to create a show that would help children develop their social and emotional skills. The characters were designed to be relatable to children and to reflect their interests and experiences. What is the Tweenies’ show about? The material of the darts stem can also make a difference to the dart trajectory. For example, metal dart stems will be heavier than ones that are made of nylon or polycarbonate. While a slight difference, the choice of darts stem does alter the overall weight of your dart and can affect how it flies through the air. How to choose a dart stem that works for you Surprise Time - occurred when all the buttons glowed, which wasn't very often. Usually a surprise would come of it. From the late 1990s into the early 2000s, the Tweenies were one of the most popular set of children's TV characters at the time, which led to a wide range merchandise being sold. Many toys were sold in various retailers, such as Toys "R" Us, Argos, & Woolworths. Merchandise included soft toys, playsets, collectible figures, board games, jigsaws and puzzles, talking toys, the video games which were Tweenies: Doodles' Bones for Game Boy Color and Tweenies: Game Time for PlayStation, and many other products.Jake (operated by Samantha Dodd 1999–2002; voiced by Justin Fletcher in the UK, Colin O'Meara in the US) is a three-year-old orange-skinned boy with a blonde mohican. Being the youngest Tweenie, he sometimes feels left out and excluded from the other Tweenies' games when he is not big enough to join in. He is the kindest of the Tweenies and has a close bond with Doodles, often turning to him for comfort or advice when unhappy. He is also very sensitive, and is prone to tears and tantrums when frustrated. He sometimes gets words mixed up. He loves playing pretend, especially as his superhero alter-ego, Dotman. His favourite colour is green. His best friend is Milo. Izzles - the centre's other dog, who is Doodles' Distaff Counterpart. She was introduced towards the end of the show's run. She was very energetic, and the gang initially had mixed feelings about her behaviour, but persuaded her to behave, so Max and Judy would let her stay. Christmas Episode: Had one of these per year. They usually attempted to marry the Father Christmas mythos with the Nativity Story.
