I agree with the other reviewers that this is a lot of ladder for the money and we're very happy with it. Once installed it feels particularly safe and secure to use, important to us as we bought it for our daughter's house. I installed it myself and thought the assembly and installation instructions were fine, but you do need to allow time to study them carefully because there's quite a lot to do. The sales service was fast and efficient. The price on Ladderstore was the best I could find and I was pleased that the wooden ladder was of a similar price to the cheap aluminium models. I prefer wooden ladders because they give less as you load them and feel sturdier.

The ladder is being used to replace a spiral staircase up to the loft which has been converted into a second bedroom. The spiral staircase took up around 20% of the loft space. Since we fitted the ladder it has made the room seem far larger giving us valuable extra space. The house is a small one bedroom terraced property and space is at a premium.
