About this deal

The clay supports and protects the seeds whilst they germinate and spreads them as it breaks down under watering. They say that it is well-presented, easy to plant, and produces stunning flowers that brighten up the garden. We have not used yet as they are a gift, but the packaging is lovely (hessian bag), and they appear to be good value for money. Our centre pieces and aisle posies were beautiful and our deconstructed arch took centre stage - as a first time Jo and Nettie had ever attempted something like this, the result was a showstopper that left the room in awe. of seeds from 18 native wildflower species, mixed with local, protective clay and sifted, nurturing top soil.

I am very keen to see a revival of bees and wanted to add some wild flowers to encourage them into my garden. The plant species include: corn chamomile, cornflower, common poppy, red campion, white campion, salad burnet, common sorrel, yellow rattle, corn marigold, self heal, cowslip, ribwort plantain, oxeye daisy, rough hawkbit, lady’s bedstraw, wild carrot, common knapweed, yarrow. Some mention that it's a great product and excellent idea, while others say that it is a complete waste of money, not good for the purpose, and not worth the money. Finding that perfect gift for a Mum, Dad, brother, sister, your kids, girlfriend, boyfriend, special woman or man in your life, a special friend or even the home, can be a real challenge so we’re glad to have helped. Will give months of pleasure from sowing, waiting in anticipation and eventually enjoying the display hopefully Year after year.

The seeds are combined with nurturing sifted soil and sheltering local clay to protect them from predators.

I tend to say 'cleared soil' as wildflowers are slow growers compared to grasses and perennial weeds. This means that they can be out-competed by faster growing grasses and perennial weeds at the critical early stages, so straight onto soil is best if possible. Corn Marigold is native to the UK since at least the Iron age and provides a wonderful flash of bright yellow to your wildflower meadow. I have tried sowing seeds in the past, but they didn't grow and was looking for something a bit harder to plant.Using seed balls protects the seeds from predators and provides a nurturing environment for the seeds to germinate from, making it easier for you to create the wildflower habitat Britain needs.

They are amazed at how quickly and beautifully the bee bombs grew into clumps of mixed wildflowers, and that it is easy to wrap as a gift. BeeBombs are best scattered in the spring or autumn, Wildflowers grow a little more slowly than other flowers, so may not flower until a year or more after scattering. The seedballs are made from sheltering local clay and sifted compost, packed with a range of native wildflower species' seeds.goes towards a real beehive, helping the honeybee population recover and supporting honeybee related initiatives around the UK.

Seedballs are an ancient method of farming that is less destructive to the wildlife buried in your garden, less labour intensive and increases germination rates.
